Boston Performance Tour!

On April 27 - 29, the Lakeland Youth Symphony Touring Orchestra, a group comprised of members of the Intermediate and Senior Orchestras, will go on a performance tour of Boston. The orchestra, directed by Debra Seftel, will be performing at the Mary Baker Eddy Library/Museum in Boston and in the historic town of Wilmington, established in 1730. Students and parents can view the itinerary here.

There is a wonderful program planned:

Orchestra Suite by Georg Philipp Telemann
Carnival of the Animals by Camille Saint-Saens arr. Harry Alshin

(featuring students reading the whimsical poems of Ogden Nash
and accompanied by Michelle Sedlak on piano)
Folk Tune and Fiddle Dance by Percy Fletcher
Seasons of Love from Rent by Jonathan Larson arr. Elliot Del Borgo

Members of the Lakeland Youth Symphony, their families and friends, are invited to a preview of this fabulous concert at Saint Pius X Church in Montville on April 22. For details, read the next news item. Don't miss out!
