We are working on Ruben and Rachel,  Are You Sleeping?, Long, Long Ago, Scotland's Burning, This Old Man and Go Tell Aunt Rhody.   Also  practice the songs from the last Recital:  Lightly Row, London Bridge, Song of the Wind, May Song, Old MacDonald, and Allegro.
Practice page 16 and 17 in the book.  Practice the slurs on #76 (the Slur) and the ties wherever they appear.  Work on good tone with a straight bow.
Make sure your position is good and the fingers are on the tape.
Tell your friends about our Demo Class on September 18 or they can observe one of the remaining summer classes.


If you were not in class, any new sheets are available in an envelope on the bulletin board at the Music Shop in stairwell "D".

We have two "books" to practice in, the Primo Book (written in score format,3 parts) and the First Program for Strings.
Practice #1,2,3,5 and 11 (Can, Can) in the Primo book.  Make sure you work on all three parts.
Practice the first seven songs in the First Program book as well as Hickory Dickory Dock.
If you were not in class, pick up a "Meetcha at the Post  Office" and "Jawin' at the Barber Shop" sheet on the Bulletin board.
Invite your friends to the September 18 or they can observe one of the remaining summer classes.
