It's holiday time at Lakeland Youth Symphony and we are very happy to continue two holiday traditions that we started many years ago. Please join us in celebrating the 2009 holiday season by participating. Orders and ads are due by November 24th.
This year, you may place your order online and pay with your credit card by adding the items to your cart right here. If you would prefer to pay by check, please follow the instructions on the bottom of this page.
Poinsettia Sale
We are selling beautiful Poinsettias again to decorate our concert stage, and to be enjoyed by your family after the concert. They will be distributed at the holiday concert at the Mountain Lakes HS on Friday, December 18th, 2009.
Plants are $16.00 each and are in 7 1/2” pots provided by Gro Rite Greenhouse. You may order right here, using your credit card, or fill out this form and pay by check.
Holiday Program
Everyone who attends our Holiday Concert receives a commemorative program that includes the names of all the students in the orchestras, the pieces they played, and many pages of ads from the students' families and friends. A program ad is a nice way to congratulate your young musician and wish him or her and the entire Lakeland Youth Symphony family a happy holiday season. You may pay for your ad here, and email the ad image or copy to Lynette Steiner at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it , or you may pay by check using this form.
Pay by Check
Please send in your ads and poinsettia orders by November 24th, 2009.
If you would like to pay by check, please send this form along with payment (checks made out to Lakeland Youth Symphony) to your conductor’s assistant or mail to:

What did you do this Summer? Camp? Classes? Travel? Whatever you have done the past two months, you haven't had the opportunity to get together with your Lakeland colleagues and make exciting new music. Well, in September, that will change as our groups get underway again, and each ensemble will play new music with some returning and new members. We are delighted to have our terrific conductors back for another enthusiastic season. Mrs. Meiseles, Ms. Sedlak, Mr. Tedeschi and myself, are picking music and setting up our groups to have the best possible sound as well as lots of fun. The music will span many periods in history from a variety of countries, and in various styles.
Our beginning Suzuki violin program has had a very exciting summer, with two demo classes and an art workshop. You may have also seen us taking rehearsal outside in one of the many area newspapers.
